What is the purpose of a music video?

The purpose of a music video is to be a marketing device to sell records and to increase sales in a way of promotion. A music video is a short film or video that accompanies a complete piece of music/song. It is used to attract the audience to the song.

When were the first music videos produced?

The first music video that was aired was in 1981 which was the song Video Killed The Radio Star which was made by the Buggles this was on MTV.

How are music videos commissioned?

The voice, the rhythm, and the backing that supports them both are the visuals in the video that can relate to the lyrics of a song.

What is a music video treatment or pitch?
A video treatment, also known as video concept, outlines information with regards to what the music video will be about. Conceptually, a music video could show the artist performing the song in front of a live audience or by itself; alternatively, a music video can also present a story line where certain situations and storytelling takes place.

Scenes involving booze fags and drugs.
