Questionnaire Results

From this data, it shows that a 54% increase of the audience would like to watch a video consisting of the artist. This will make it very likely that using the artist in the video has a higher chance of being more successful. We believe we should use our chosen artist in our video as it would most likely to work. Peoples favourite artists are Katy Perry, Nickleback, Blink 182 and Muse this tells our group that we have to look at similar artists.

From this it has revealed that the majority of the audience enjoy special effects in their videos. Using special effects will make the target audience prone to watch the music video and make the video more successful.

This data suggests that there is an equal amount of people who watch music videos and the people who don't. This concludes that if i chose to put my music video on television it would likely to be watched. The favoured channels are Kerrang, Scuzz, Q, MTV and 4music. This data is very helpful as our video will most likely to appear on this selection of music channels. Peoples favourite music videos tend to be by Blink 182 and Bowling For Soup which are very similar to the band we have chosen.

This clarifies that a small increase of the audience enjoy dance routines in music videos. However the difference is very minute and makes this data unreliable as it could easily be changed. This data tells us by adding a dance routine could be a successful idea however I believe it will not work due to the video trying to target both genders.

This data illustrates that the majority of the audience favour the idea of black and white videos compared to colour. Our group will try and follow this data and possibly use it as an idea.

This pie chart represents the idea that the audience favour videos of live performance. This will likely to be successful as the majority of the audience inspires the artist to be in the video.

This pie chart portrays that less people will buy limited Cd's. This may be due to the current trend of downloading songs off Internet databases such as Itunes and Limewire.

The data suggests that the majority of the audience favour videos which involve a film. This represents that the genre of the video is most popular. This is revelant to our music video as we could add new clips of an upcoming film to our music video which may make it more of a success.

The pie chart outlines the audiences gender. Yhe data is less valid due to an unequal proportion of females to males. This tells our group that our ideas will be based on female opinions.

This pie chart shows that the most favoured genre is rock. This will hopefully assist our music video to become a success this has led us to make a video with this chosen genre.

This pie chart tells us that people prefer a fast paced video to a slow paced video. This tells us that we will have to choose a fast song to please the target audience.

This pie chart tells us that the majority of people we asked liked music videos which are funny. The majority of the target audience will like this so we will try to please them .

This pie chart tells us that an equal amount of people like direct and those who like indirect. This tells us that in our music video we should aim to use both.

The data represents that we only asked one age group 17-19. This shows that our data is biased and that the video will mainly appeal to this age range. We will need to develop ideas that will be accurate to this age group

The majority of people who watch music videos will watch them between 4-7pm. This tells us that this is a favoured prime slot that music videos choose to be played at. The average time that people watch music videos is around 2 hours. This tells us that people only watch music videos for a short period of time.

This pie chart tells us that more people watch music videos on the Internet than anywhere else. This data is very helpful due to the Internet being free for example websites such as YouTube. However this data tells us that there is only 1% difference between Internet and television this tells us that both are equally as popular. This confirms that people are prone to watch music videos on television and the internet. Despite this we can only show our music video on the Internet due to the impossibility of showing it on television.

This pie chart tells us more people like complicated videos than to simple ones. As a group we will take these opinions on board.

The choice of favourite setting is outdoor this tells us if i choose the setting it will likely to make a popular impact on our video. The second favourite is in a house this could also be made into a possibility.

This pie chart tells us that less people buy music magazines than people who do. The difference is of 20%. This tells us that music magazines are not very popular. The people who do buy magazines prefer magazines such as Kerrang Q and NME. Therefore our advert should be placed in these magazines.
